These two couldn’t be more different and now they’re in the Uber ride of their lives.

A fun spin on the buddy-cop formula, where
L.A.P.D Detective Vic (Dave Bautista) -who is recovering from eye surgery after a run-in with a ruthless Drug Dealer, Oka Tedjo (Iko Uwais) gets an Uber driver, Stu (Kumail Nanjiani) to drive him around L.A as he closes in on Tedjo.

Sensitive, mild-mannered and not afraid to cry, Stu is juggling two jobs and is desperate for five star ratings, he needs the extra money after going into business with his college friend Beca (Betty Gilpin) whom he is secretly in love with.

Hilarity ensues as the “odd couple” drive each other up the wall with their very different approach to life. Vic is your typical Detective who is obsessed with his job, especially since he has a personal score to settle with Tedjo. He thinks it’s weak when men cry and he is also struggling to have a relationship with his daughter.

Stu on the other hand has to come to terms that he is too nice and that people take advantage of him. And must man up and admit his feelings to Beca.

As the pair close in on Tedjo, danger lurks in every corner and they soon discover that this isn’t going to be your regular Uber ride, by the end of which the two learn life lessons from each other.

6/10 Lots of laughter, lots of action and a bit of heart. The film is made more enjoyable with the undeniable chemistry between Bautista and Nanjiani.

R13 for a bit of violence and nudity.
