The latest adventure of your friendly neighborhood super hero delivered a stunning P292.5-million debut from 678 screens during its first five days of release (July 3 to 7). That box-office haul enabled Far From Home to demolish three significant records — All-Time Biggest Opening Weekend for a Columbia Pictures Title, All-Time Biggest Opening Weekend for a Spider-Man film (33% higher than Spider-Man: Homecoming) and All-Time Biggest July Opening Weekend.

The Tom Holland-starrer also bested the opening weekend grosses of recent super hero titles Black Panther (P251.6-M) and Aquaman (P230.5-M).

Positioned as the must-see follow-up to Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home also got additional boost as the finale of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 3. Fan excitement and anticipation was rewarded with the film’s entertaining and relatable story, charming teen romance, heartfelt drama and epic action. Strong word-of-mouth and positive audience reaction indicate the film is expected to have a long run and repeat viewings.
